With a pressure sensor you can monitor your system pressure in your applications. What you should know about the functions and areas of application as well as the many types of sensors available from Automation24 you can found out here.
Pressure sensors belong to the category of process sensors and are often also referred to as pressure switches. They convert the physical quantity 'pressure' in an electronic output quantity as measure for the pressure. The robust and wear-free pressure sensors are used above all to measure the system pressure in a variety of applications.
Consequently there are numerous applications for pressure sensors such as:
Pressure sensors in action: pressure measurement in the area of pneumatic control
Within the field of sensor systems, Automation24 offers numerous pressure sensors at low prices, from the sensor specialists ifm, Endress+Hauser, TiTEC, and WIKA.
The available range of ifm pressure sensors includes electronic pressure switches and pressure sensors with or without a display. The pressure sensors are available with a measuring range of up to 600 bar.
The PQ series is the ideal choice for pneumatics processes. The compact pressure sensors in this series have an angled and easily readable display, which displays good ranges in two colours. In addition, the sensors feature two switching outputs, whereby one can be programmed as an analogue output. Installation is performed using integrated mounting holes and accessories, and as such is particularly simple.
The PK design impresses with an intuitive switch point setting that can be adjusted using easily readable setting rings. Here, a mechanical lock prevents unintentional adjustment. Thanks to the robust stainless steel measuring cell, these pressure sensors reliably keep high pressures at bay. In so doing, they have a life expectancy of more than 50 million pressure cycles.
The PN7 series has two switching outputs, one of which features an IO-Link interface.
In the case of the PN3 series pressure sensor, one output can also be programmed as an analogue output. What's more, the PN sensors are characterised by their changing red/green display, which enables the marking of good ranges.
Another special feature is the pivoting process connection, which enables the flexible alignment of the sensor. Due to its high overload resistance and robust design, this pressure sensor variant is particularly well-suited for harsh industrial settings.
Thanks to its stainless steel enclosure, the PI series with programmable switching and analogue output is particularly robust and is consequently specifically intended for use in the food and beverages industry. In this regard, no small contribution is made by the hygienic flush-mounted design and the device's high temperature resistance and protection rating. All of these properties ensure that the PI sensors can withstand the aggressive cleaning agents used in high-pressure cleaning processes.
With the PG27 series, you get an analogue display, a pressure switch, and a pressure transmitter in one device. The rotating display with LED bar graph shows the switching points and is also easy to read from a distance. Due to their robust and hygienic stainless steel enclosure and the flush-mounted process connection, the PG pressure sensors are ideally suited for use in the food and beverages industry
The Endress+Hauser pressure sensors with 4-character display available at Automation24 are used for the measurement of the absolute and relative pressure. The integrated switching electronics and IO-Link interface make the pressure switch an economical solution, which can be simply configured and integrated into fieldbus systems.
If you wish to detect the pressure of gases, liquids, dust, and vapours within a range of up to 40 bar, you can choose between the Ceraphant PTC31B and PTP33B series. The Ceraphant PTC31B electronic pressure switches have a ceramic and vacuum-sealed measuring cell and are suitable for harsh conditions within the process industry. The Ceraphant PTP33B fully welded pressure sensors with a metallic measuring membrane are intended, in particular, for use in the hygiene sector.
If you want to record the pressure of vapours, liquids, gases, and dust within a range of up to 400 bar, then the highly stable and overload-proof Ceraphant PTP31 series with piezo-resistive measuring cell is the ideal solution for you.
Alongside stockable Endress+Hauser pressure sensors, you have the ability to configure your own customised pressure switches from the three series. For that matter, in addition to pressure sensors you will also find other Endress+Hauser configurator products within our range.
What's more, A-1200 pressure sensors from WIKA are also available to choose, which can be ordered without a display and with an IO-Link for the pressure measurement of liquids and gases within a measuring range of up to 600 bar. The sensors withstand shock loads of up to 1,000 g and are suitable for harsh ambient conditions in machine tool and special machine construction, and also in the area of hydraulics and pneumatics. The integrated diagnosis functions guarantee reliable sensor monitoring. The status of the sensors can be visually read via the 360° LED display.
For the measurement of overpressure, negative pressure, and differential pressure, Automation24 offers robust differential pressure sensors from manufacturer TiTEC's DDM series. These are available with a pressure measuring range of up to 70 bar, whereby various measuring ranges can be pre-selected by means of a DIP switch.
At Automation24 you will find a wide range of pressure sensors at very affordable prices. Select the suitable sensor for your application now and monitor the pressure of your machines and systems!
